TDR Racing Chassis Sessions
These are sessions designed to provide new race teams or existing race teams with the knowledge needed to build a consistent and properly set-up race car. All race cars need a stable base from which a team can adjust from. Doing this the proper way and knowing that the car is built on a solid platform will greatly increase the teams chances of producing a race car that is consistent and repeatable.
All sessions are custom designed to the needs of your race team. They include making sure your car is square and all alignment is proper, all front end measurements through travel, front end geometry and roll center locations, weight distribution and location options, and chassis tuning from conventional set-ups to big bar/soft spring set-ups.
These sessions take place at our facility in Muskegon, Michigan. We have all the necessary tools and equipment to accurately measure and determine the proper settings for any type race car. We use computer programs for chassis set-up, front end geometry locations, and even programs to plot weight locations and give percentages before any ballast is installed in the car. We have testing equipment to rate your suspension through movement, all the way to coil bind. This equipment will also help determine your nose height and allow you to make spring or rubber changes without changing that height.
We are a company that has been involved in racing for over 35 years. We currently have four cars that race on a weekly basis at multiple tracks. Our facility houses these cars along with all of our testing equipment and even our own machine shop used to build new equipment for the racing industry. We keep up to date on the newest racing set-ups and technologies by traveling to Orlando, Mooresville, and Indianapolis each winter to meet with our racing consultants. We do extensive testing each year with complete data acquisition systems installed in our cars to determine handling and performance characteristics of different type racing set-ups.
Our sessions include your car at our shop to determine all measurements and set-up work. All information is derived from our software and measuring systems and provided to you on hard copies to allow you to have for all future changes to your car. These sessions are one on one with your team to give you the opportunity to get all your questions answered and the information needed to make your car more consistent.
If this sounds like something you think could benefit your race team, please contact us to set up a meeting at which time we can discuss the options we have available and pricing for these sessions.

These sessions are designed to help your team learn how to properly measure and adjust all of the components on your race car. The hours shown above are just for reference as each team will need different amounts of time for the different areas they would like to learn more about. All teams will be provided hard copies of the measurements, directions, and information developed from their sessions. These sessions are customized for each team so you can decide what part you are most interested in learning. Remember, a properly and consistently set-up car will give you a platform that will truly show you the handling characteristics of any given component change.
